During our one-night stop in Nauders, we chose to stay at Bergfrieden, and while it offered some delightful aspects, there were both highlights and some missed opportunities. Our room was cozy with a lovely view of the castle, ideal for a couple of nights. It did lack some amenities like soap in the bathroom and reliable Wi-Fi, which can be crucial for travelers. We appreciated the friendly welcome from the owner, who even moved us to a room with a longer bed. This created a homey atmosphere, reminiscent of visiting friends rather than staying at a hotel. The kitchenette was well-equipped, and we enjoyed a hearty homemade dinner while taking in the mountain views from the kitchen window. Breakfast was satisfying, and the personal touch from the owner throughout our stay made a positive impact. The absence of certain advertised facilities, such as a refrigerator or coffee machine, raised questions about the overall value. Bergfrieden has strong potential, but if you seek luxury along with value, it might be worth considering your options. The family's warmth does enhance the experience, but be prepared for some inconsistencies along the way.
